ABOUT US

We are a small kennel just outside Fairbanks ,Ak nestled in the  mushing community of Two Rivers , AK.    we focus on giving each one of our guests a personal tour, while still using our dogs for subsistence activities in the vast country around the state. In addition to taking guests on rides, our dogs also work with us while we hunt, trap, and fish.

Our dogs are also professional competitive athletes, and have run several races with owners Lauro and Neil. 

​

During our tours, we show you the ins and outs of the mushing lifestyle: from caring for and training our dogs, to the work it takes to live in the Alaskan bush. Owners Lauro and Neil Eklund and their guides have years of backcountry mushing experience.

Lauro and Neil starred in the National Geographic documentary Yukon River Run, about a once-in-a-lifetime Northern Adventure.  

​

Lauro is currently working to qualify for the  Yukon Quest & Iditarod , and Neil is a veteran of two Iditarods in 1981 and 1983. Together, they have decades of wildnerness experiences to share.

 

Join them on the same dogsled trails where Gold Rush miners traveled in the days of Jack London, and where Native Alaskans have mushed for eons!
